Real technical and aesthetic benefits of the H5JC partition

An office centre of more than 1500 m² was refitted in Amiens for a public administration. For this job done in occupied areas, the architect and installer chose to use H5 Transparence and H5JC partitions, combining top-quality finish, efficient acoustics and, above all, perfectly modular.

The interior-design firm was instructed to redevelop this centre while generating the minimum of disturbance so that the sixty-or-so employees present upstairs could continue to work in good conditions. This vast square area, which will eventually include individual and group offices, and meeting rooms, only receives natural light on three sides. Thus, the architect also had to bring the maximum amount of light into the central area while preserving good acoustic insulation to ensure the confidentiality of conversations.

Partitions combining aesthetic and acoustic qualities.

This centre has been redeveloped many times so that meeting rooms and various departments could coexist and evolve. “It was obvious for us to work with modular partitions on this project,” said the architect responsible for the project. “For two reasons; firstly, because this type of product allows more flexibility; secondly, we had to work on an occupied site in order to lessen onsite job-time and reduce the nuisance factor.”

In this vast area, the architect chose to alternate glass partitions and solid partitions. “To bring natural light to the central part, we created a maximum of window walls, using H5 Transparence partitions. These partitions do not require intermediate profiles. So we could create large continuous glazed surfaces, very aesthetic and graceful.”

The solid parts of the project were given H5 butt-joint partitions on both sides, bringing a touch of volume to the whole. “They are well suited to the project, in terms of acoustic performance, reinforced by rigid insulation in the plenum, in order to correct any acoustic bridge and to ensure a complete seal.”

And especially removable partitions!

From the point of view of the installer, H5 partitions have another advantage: they offer a wealth of opportunities for arranging areas because they are completely removable thanks to their uprights running from floor to ceiling. “You can very easily change their location or simply remove the module and replace it with a door if required. It is an easily removable and convertible product, ideal for working in a busy environment.”
