The ISO 14001 standard (v2004) is an international reference text which lists the minimum requirements to be met by an organisation (business, corporate body…) in order to receive the ISO certificate.

HOYEZ and the vast majority of companies we work with, meet these requirements.

HOYEZ partitions can contribute to obtaining this certification and to attaining a good to excellent level for its final score.

BREEAM®, or the Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method, was developed by the Building Research Establishment in 1990. BREEAM® is the standard of reference for sustainable construction as it fully addresses environmental issues.

Principles of BREEAM®:

This certification, divided into nine subject areas, enables actors in the construction sector to:

  • Gain recognition of their commitment to constructing buildings with a low environmental impact
  • Be certain that best construction practices have been incorporated into the structure and therefore, to reduce the building’s operating costs and improve its habitat conditions as well as its work environment
  • Maintain a reference standard that is defined by more stringent criteria than those required by legislation
  • Constantly be innovative in order to find solutions which minimise environmental impacts

BREEAM® certification

The BREEAM® certification is divided into nine subject areas for which points are allocated depending on performances achieved. As these subject areas hold varying significance, a weighting system enables an overall score to be obtained. Therefore, depending on the number of points, the result of the final certification may be:

Fail/Satisfactory/Good/ Very Good/ Excellent/Outstanding.e.

The 9 subject areas of BREEAM®

  1.  Management
  2. Materials
  3. Energy
  4. Ecology
  5. Waste
  6. Water
  7. Transport
  8. Pollution
  9. Health and welfare

Futher informations

HOYEZ partitions are involved in 6 targets out of 14, for which they can attain the basic or high level required by this certification.

The HQE® process aims to limit the environmental impacts of construction and renovation operations, while maintaining healthy and comfortable living conditions within the building.

Please note: it is the building itself which is being certified and, under no circumstances, is it a person or a company.

Principles of the HQE® process:

The level of certification is determined by the developer

  • A management system is implemented in order to mobilise all actors and to achieve objectives
  • Neither design nor technical solutions are required: the choice is justified and appropriate to the context
  • The creation of a healthy and comfortable internal environment is sought while, at the same time, limiting environmental impacts
  • Performance is assessed by an independent body

HQE® certification

Three levels of certification may be selected:

Basic level/High level/Very high level

14 targets must be attained (at least at the basic level) in order to obtain certification of the building. These are divided into four main areas (HOYEZ can contribute points for the targets highlighted in red):

The 14 targets of the HQE® process

ECO-CONSTRUCTION

  • Relationship between the buildings and their immediate environment
  • Integrated choice of processes and construction products
  • Construction site with minimal environmental pollution

ECO-MANAGEMENT

  • Energy management
  • Water management
  • Business waste management
  • Maintenance management

COMFORT

  • Hygrothermal comfort
  • Acoustic comfort
  • Visual comfort
  • Olfactory comfort

HEALTH

  • Hygiene and cleanliness of spaces
  • Air quality
  • Water quality

HOYEZ partitions are involved in 6 targets at basic level: 2, 3, 7, 9, 10 and 13.

A target is attained when the number of points required by the certification is obtained.

Futher informations

HOYEZ partitions can contribute up to 9 points out of 40 (at the minimum) to obtain this certification.

LEED® is a North American, high environmental quality building certification system. It was created in 1998 by the US Green Building Council.

Principles of the LEED® process:

The certification is divided into seven categories:

  • Sustainable site development
  • Effective water management
  • Energy and atmosphere
  • Materials and resources
  • Quality of internal environments
  • Innovation and design methods
  • Regional priority

LEED® certification

The LEED® certification system corresponds to a rating system. The seven LEED® categories are divided into credits for which points are allocated, depending on the requirements attained.

There are four levels of certification, depending on the number of points obtained.

HOYEZ partitions can help attain certain requirements and, therefore, points (9 maximum) in the following categories:
